Im currently looking at generating reports from data in excel. Does anyone have experience with that? My plan is to generate the latex code by programming vba macros in excel, which then can be edited(if necessary) and compiled in texnic center.
As I see it there are some challenges not related to latex such as creating graphs and saving them as picture files, etc. What i would like from all of you is help with the generation of the latex code. Usually the reports have a predefined format and only the graph and some text fields change. Thus i need to set som variables that will change the text in certain fields. Is there an easy way to do this? or should i create the entire .tex file every time?
