Script to test fonts and preview

Post by denizoglu »

Hi there everyone,

I need a script to preview a sample text written in all fonts available in my system (which is more than 1500 I guess) and the font name written next to it in dvi file, so that I will be able to choose my font from this dvi rather than trying to find by looking at each font separately in Open Office or whatsoever. I kinda remember a tool or dvi file readily found in a Linux distro that listed all fonts in standard TeX font family, but I would like to customize it so that I can produce my list of previews. Thank you in advance.
