I ran into the following problem with Merlin:
In order to create a custom stye for the social science thesis of my girlfriend I ran makebst with merlin.mbs and german.mbs. I chose several options like yrp-col which should results in a colon after the date for the citation in the text but it does not do so.
The output looks like: '(Vgl. Kastner, 2009, 197)' which is definetely no colon
I really do not know why my options (there are some more of that) are not taken by the batch process??
I have uploaded the .dbj file for the batch process here
(as I didn't know how to attach a file, I just pasted the code from the dbj file here
I processed this code with 'latex ikl_style2.dbj' and got the result in ikl_style2.bst which produced the ouput fom above.
