Hi all,
I am using Windows Xp, MikTex 2.9 and Texmaker 2.0
I am having troubles compiling the bibliography in my document. When I place my XBib.bib file in the same directory as the mypaper.tex paper then it works fine. However, if I place the XBib.bib under C:\Program Files\MiKTeX 2.9\bibtex\bib\base or under ANY other directory it does not work. The mypaper.bbl file is empty
\begin{thebibliography}{0}
\expandafter\ifx\csname natexlab\endcsname\relax\def\natexlab#1{#1}\fi
\end{thebibliography}
the mypaper.log file tells me that the citations are undefined. I have tried REFRESH FNBD, I have tried several directories by adding the Root to the registered root directories, I have tried an existing root directory, all without any success. When I was using MikTex 2.8 my XBib.bib file was located under C:\Program Files\MiKTeX 2.8\bibtex\bib\base and it worked fine. So I cannot tell whether it is a problem with MikTex 2.9 or Texmaker. To me, it looks like Texmaker cannot figure our where to look for the XBib.bib file but I might be wrong.
I have unistalled MikTex 2.8, unistalled Texmaker, installed MikTex 2.9, re-installed Texmaker. I just can't think of anything else. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Bibliography not working
sorry, I think I've just found out what the problem was. A folder with bibliography styles specific to my discipline (economics) must have caused the problem. As I got rid of it, it worked. No idea why though.
