Texmaker on the Cloud
has anyone tried to install the portable version of texmaker on a cloud service like google drive to use common settings on multiple machines?
Is this even possible without severe inconsistency of the program files?
What about the same thing with MikTex? The loaded packages would be available on all connected machines, wouldn´t they?
best wishes

Interesting. I never tried it.
Anyway it will be another question, besides the program files, where you would like to store your LaTeX documents: in the cloud too, or locally.

thank you very much!
I would store the LaTeX Documents in the cloud, too. But in another location

Structure would for example look like this
GoogleDrive/Programme/Texmaker/...
GoogleDrive/Programme/MikTeX/...
GoogleDrive/Dokumente/Dok1.tex
etc.
Well, if nobody has tried this yet, I´m going to test that. I'll be back with the experiment results tomorrow

MikTeX Portable is only available as 32bit version and the portable version of Texmaker doesn´t list Win10 as a supported System.
Do you think, the 32bit version will reduce the compiling performance noticeable?

A better thing would be parallel processing, such as simultaneous compilation of pages.

I don't want to spend too much time in this idea. So, if anyone stumbling over this post is digging deeper and is achieving a solution, I would be glad to hear about it
