Hi, there
I have been using Miktex successfully on an older computer running Windows 7. I recently purchased a new computer running Windows 10 and downloaded Miktex. However, on the new computer LATEX is producing only the .pdf and .gz files and is not producing the .aux, .idx, and .log files. The .aux and .idx files are essential for producing an index and for running the xr package. Can anyone help with this?

Latex won't produce .aux .idx and .log files.
Welcome to the forum!
Check your editor settings: some editors have a setting that allows to remove all aux files. That can be switched off.
