Dear All
I've been using Lyx for many years off and on for various little projects and have found it particularly helpful compared to Word.
All previous versions have installed and run perfectly satisfactorily on my Win64 machine. However, with Lyx 2.2.0 it installs perfectly well but when attempting to start it it produces the error message, "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b)...."
Since Lyx is a 32 bit application I suspect this is to do with some libraries or runtime applications that Lyx is looking for and my machine doesn't have them installed. I've done a general interent search for solutions to this error but none of the remedies suggested have made any difference. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Does anyone know what files could be missing? Or perhaps if it is a different kind of problem? Any suggestions would be most welcome. I would really like to get this version going to see all the new improvements.
Thanks
John
