Problem with the conversion to PDF

Hi. I have a problem with LyX 2.2.2 on my mac (OSX 10.12.1 Sierra). I make a document (just text) on LyX and when I do : export -> exportation as and I choose PDF, a message appeares : "No information to export at format PDF(pdflatex).". And same result if I choose another format. Someone has a solution ? Thx

Hi Apeiro,

welcome to the forum! We had the same error message here: LyX: No information for exporting the format PDF (pdflatex).

Please try what meho_r said:

Take a look to where you installed TeX. You installed TeX, or didn't you? LyX is just the editor. It requires a TeX installation, such as TeXLive or MiKTeX. A complete installation may be more than 3 GB.

On a Mac with MacTeX the path of the executables is /usr/texbin.

The non-executable files may be in /Library/TeX/Root/.

I've just files with the extention .cls in this list and the past is /Users/Apeiro/Library/texmf/tex/latex/lyx/ for 3 and /usr/local/texlive/2016/texmf-dist/tex/ for the other.
