Hello

Post by sealestt »

Hi everyone. I joined LaTeX Community about a week ago. I'm new to LaTeX. I recently purchased The LaTeX Companion and jumped right in. It is a bit overwhelming I must say but that's why I'm here.

Great site by the way!

Hi sealestt,

welcome to the board!
The LaTeX Companion is a great book and a very good choice, I've bought it too. It may be not the easiest introduction, but it's an extensive knowledge base useful for a long time.

Thanks for the greeting Stefan. True that The LaTeX Comapnion is not the easiest intro but I've done a little with restructured text prior to moving ahead with LaTeX, but that definitely didn't prepare me for what this book is throwing at me. Glad to hear I made a good purchase though. Thanks,
