General ⇒ Textheight in chapter pages

I have a problem altering the textheight on chapter pages. I want less space at the bottom of the page. I've tried changing it with \textheight=xx, but it only affects the pages that are not chapter pages. Actually I want the textheight on chapter pages to be the same as on all other pages. Anyone knows how to achieve this?

Use the geometry package.
