TOC: Page number erroneously in new line?

Post by JohnGalt »

Hello community,

I am a LaTeX newby, and just started to write my master thesis using LyX. The GUI is great so far, but I've stumbled across a weird behaviour I can't seem to fix.

As I needed more subsections than just the pre-defined ones, I started using paragraphs instead. I defined them to be listed in the Table of Contents via

Document -> Settings -> Numbering & TOC -> moving the 'List in Table of Contents' slider one further

when previewing the .pdf, however, the number of the paragraph appears to be printed in the center of a new line instead of the right side, rendering the TOC style inconsistent.

I've attached an image of the output:

6 and 9 refers to the respective page numbers of the paragraphs.

Does anybody know what might cause this error, and how I can circumvent it?

Best regards,
John

Hi John,

welcome to the forum!

It's hard to say without the code. Perhaps post your .lyx document as attachment here in the forum, and also a LaTeX export file. You can export LyX to LaTeX in the main menu, first menu.
