Convert OpenType font for use with pdfTeX

Hello,

I am trying to convert the fonts to work on PDFLATEX. I have opentype fonts as source. Could you please anyone help to me on this? What the the formats need to work in PDFLATEX? How to convert them? Is really needed .vf file for PDF LATEX? Please help!
