LyX ⇒ LyX on retina MacBook Pro

Note that we have support for retina in 2.2.0. ...

I just installed the current stable release on a recently acquired MacBook (early 2015), and my heart sank. The fuzziness described in the original post was dismaying -- perhaps not "unusable", but an impediment to use, certainly.

After playing (unsuccessfully) with various combinations in the settings, I did a bit of websearching, found this thread, and so glad I did!

I've now installed the current beta-2, and it is crisp and clear! I haven't used LyX in anger yet, but am now encouraged to persevere.

Kudos to the devs! This is a significant step forward in usability on this platform.

Thank you. I was struggling with this for quite some time. The link you gave, ftp://ftp.lyx.org/pub/lyx/devel/lyx-2.2 ... -cocoa.dmg , worked for me!
