How to add thanks and acknowledgement in each chapter

Post by yliueco »

Hi,

I am using the thesis.cls by Wenzel Matiaske.

As I am writing a thesis composed of a few separated articles, I am wandering whether it is possible to add thanks and acknowledgements (say, thanks the anonymous referees) as a footnote (after the chapter title) in each chapter.

These articles were written with the amsart.cls, which has the \thanks to serve this purpose.

Thanks.

How to add thanks and acknowledgement in each chapter

Welcome,

you are mentioning a file lie all of us know it. Where can we find it?

Can you share a minimal working example with us? We need to know what you are doing. Right now, i ask myself, why you are not using a simple footnote. But maybe you don't want footnotes. I don't know.
The smart way: Calm down and take a deep breath, read posts and provided links attentively, try to understand and ask if necessary.

Many thanks, Johannes_B.
Adding \footnotetext can properly solve the problem, as the case http://www.latex-community.org/forum/vi ... f=4&t=8503
