Preview blurry in El Capitan when typesetting

Post by CatCan »

Hi all,

It seems to be a well-known problem that documents in Preview on Mac are blurry when upgrading to El Capitan (Mac OS X 10.11) -- e.g. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7258997?tstart=0. It appears that LaTeX typesets documents into a PDF using Preview, and I was wondering if there is a way to tell it to use Adobe Acrobat Reader instead, which does not seem to have the blurry issue. (I have already unchecked "Smooth text and art line" in TeXShop preferences as well as Preview preferences, which helped a little.) I'm using TeXShop 3.61. Thanks for your time.
