LyX ⇒ Error when inserting graph

Hello,

I am fairly new to LyX. I have encountered a problem when I try inserting a picture or graph into my LyX document. Essentially whenever I do "insert" - "graph" it does insert the picture that I have chosen, but whenever I try to export to PDFlatex or display my document it says:

There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired.

I have tried many times, but it refuses to do so. I have tried with esps.files, PNG and JPEG.

What do I do?

Can you please post the .log file, which is produced by LyX / LaTeX? You can add attachments to posts here in the forum.

Do you mean the "LyX-document" or the "LyX-file"?

I mean the file with the name extension .log.

Note that the .log is accessible in LyX through Document > LaTeX Log after compiling. You can copy/paste those contents here.
