Using lyx to sort alphabetically

Hi there

I am looking for a way to make Lyx auto sort a list of text alphabetically - like the way you can do it in Libreoffice by choosing Menu and Sort.

Is there a way to do this in Lyx?

As far as i know, LyX can't do it.

It's not built-in to LyX, but you can implement the functionality using pLyX:

I have tried looking at it, but are yet not good enough with Lyx to really know how to enable Plyx - but I will try and see if I can get it to work somehow

Of course you want to do this in LyX, but since that isn't possible (not easily, anyway), one option would be to use an editor that includes this function.

You don't say what platform you're on, but Atom is a cross-platform editor which can use a sort plugin (there are others, too).

Not ideal, but if one must fire up another app to get this job done, then Atom would be one good way of doing it. Lighter, anyway, than going into LibO, or Word.
