Hi everybody,
I downloaded a latex template for a resume. I installed the fonts and switched the compiler to LuaLaTex or XeLaTex but I receive the same message with both compiling methods:
! Font \fb=''[cmr10]'' not loadable: metric data not found or bad.<to be read again>\par
Does anyone have any suggestions how to fix this?

mind telling us which template you downloaded? The log-file would also be helpful.

I'm using Texmaker. The log file in the attachment is obtained when I run the template in XeLaTeX.

From the log file i can see that your system is a bit outdated. An update of MikTeX would be the very first thing i would do and check if that resolves things.

Replace the line
\font\fb=''cmr10'' with \newcommand{\fb}{\fontspec{Latin Modern Roman}}.The smart way: Calm down and take a deep breath, read posts and provided links attentively, try to understand and ask if necessary.

Thank you for sharing your infinite wisdom with me. It was indeed the outdated MikTeX distribution!
