Lyx & El Capitan
Really glad to find this thread. I attempted to follow these instructions but ran into a problem. When I reboot and go into Recovery mode (via holding Command + R at restart), I cannot find Terminal under Utilities. All I see are disk images. Please help. I cannot find the terminal to follow these instructions. How do I unlock the Terminal feature in Recovery mode?bobbydd21 wrote:Worked perfectly. Specifically doing this (which was mentioned in the link):
"if one goes in
Settings\File Handling\File Formats and selects “PDF (pdflatex)” in the second
to last dropdown menu in the settings, the one saying “With TeX fonts”, that
makes the icons “live again”, at least it did work for me, hope it does for
others too!"
Thanks!

Lyx & El Capitan
welcome to the forum!
Did you read TeX on El Capitan and the PDF with instructions there? Did you correct the settings for the path, and how?
I only can see that LyX doesn't find your TeX installation (the document classes) but not what you already tried.
If anything fails, I think re-installing MacTeX 2015 could fix it, as I read at that linked information.

Thanks! I had found that article and was just about to post that resource. I followed those instructions down the line and they fixed the problem. I downloaded the new MacTex and followed the El Capitan manual and it fixed everything.
Thanks!

Any interested in testing LyX 2.2.0alpha2 can try at:

Re: Lyx & El Capitan
The output PDF is created without any problem.
Can anyone help with this issue?
