Texmaker and TeXstudio ⇒ Texmaker not compiling new pdf file

Hi all,

I have a problem with Texmaker. Suddenly (I mean just after the summer holidays) trying to compile any .tex file I am not able to generate the new and updated .pdf file. I still have its the old version and I do not have any error. I do not have .pdf files opened during the quick build and I tried to re-install texmaker. I tried with different kind of documents, but the problem is not resolved.

Can someone please give me any suggestions?

Hi,

I'm quite new to working with TexMaker, but I have the same Problem.

It first appeared after updating my MacBook to OS X El Capitan (or at least this is when I noticed the Problem first).

The compiling of my document to a *.pdf doesn't work from TexMaker. No Error are shown in the Log. Worked fine before the update (haven't used TexMaker for some weeks before the update).
The simple document above doesn't work either.

When compiling via the terminal everything works fine, but it's a bit annoying to switch to the terminal everytime to compile.

I hope you can help me with that problem.

you are not alone. It seems almost every user updating to El Capitan asked a new question in a forum, a mailing list, Q/A site etc.

Updating for El Capitan
should give you all the information you need.
