Hello together
I defined \newcommand{\ZL}[1]{something which is not important}
Now I would like do in the document section \ZL{ExampleText} but without putting first on the left of ExampleText \ZL{ and manually to the right }.
My goal is after selecting ExampleText, converting it with one step to \ZL{ExampleText}.
Thanks for your helps!

Welcome,
this is an editor question right? Please tell us which editor you are using, so the helpers have a bit information. And i can move the topic to the right forum.
Personally, i use vim and cannot help you with the way you want to work. Many people worldwide enjoy working with either vim or emacs for there editing needs. Maybe you want to check them out at one point?

The smart way: Calm down and take a deep breath, read posts and provided links attentively, try to understand and ask if necessary.
