Greetings from Germany, Rhineland / Mosel
nice to meet the community. I have printed my first Document with LaTex on Atari 520 ST+ in 1987 on a Star LC 10 Color Matrix Printer. Time to Print war about 20 Minutes for one page. (The Memory of the System could only load one Page and i can´t afford a hard disk, as i was on school in this time).
It was a Article i had to write for my school. (Think i got a good note for it, not because the article was so good, but the formating). In this time, normaly kids had a type writer machine at home (manual or automatik).
I had a lot of Computers and Equipment after this and i worked on IT as Admin in big Companys. But still interested in LaTex. My actual gaim is, to set my calendar and contacts and my dvd archiv - automated.
Sincerly
Thorsten

welcome to the forum!
That's a long history with LaTeX! Was it LaTeX 2.09 at that time? I know it too, the formatting can have a positive effect on the reader. Like you with articles, I had fine success with LaTeX made CV and job applications.
Btw. if you like you can also visit our German partner site, TeXwelt.de. We share also the server with it.
