I used EXP a number of years ago when writing my dissertation, now looking into LyX for internal technical reports and presentations. I have several hundred PowerPoint presentations on various subjects that I would like eventually to "translate", mostly structural mechanics & dynamics, etc.
I work for a very large company and am involved in that gray area somewhere between buildings and machines.

Regarding the translation of powerpoint presentations, perhaps you would like to produce a style which you can use for all. But you could simply start with one, to get a feeling for how it works, before you design a template. I would use the
