Theses, Books, Title pages ⇒ Reference numbering not working

Hi,

I downloaded template for MSC/PHD thesis, and I have trouble putting my bibliography in order as they appear in text. I've got 14 references and my first citation for example shows as number 6.

I am using \bibliographystyle{unsrt} stile which should work but for some reason doesn't. Can anybody help with this?

Hi and welcome, can you specify which template you are using?

Please check your list of figures and tables. It is most likely, that the first few cites have been in a caption.

As Johannes said, we could test if you would tell us the link so we can download it too. Or add it as attachment to a post here. Another good thing for perfectly verifying the issue is providing a minimal working example.
