General ⇒ Error building template Tech Report with TeXnicCenter&MiKTeX

Hi,

I have TeXnicCenter 1 Beta 7.50 and the latest version of MiKTeX 2.7 installed on an XP machine.
When I try to build the template project "Technical Report" from the tab English advanced I get 18 errors.
I reinstalled both, TeXnicCenter and MiKTeX (only basic install) still error persists, below is the log I am getting, any help appreciated.

Oh, BTW, I also get the error when starting latex from the command line (I still posted here, since it happened with the files supplied by TeXnicCenter).

Hi Ralf,

don't use the obsolete package scrpage, load scrpage2 instead. That may help, because the errors in the log are following the information concerning scrpage.
You could post longer files like logfile as attachments here, for code snippets there's a code environment in the forum, just click the Code button.

This really short example without anything is enough reproduces the error:

scrpage is indeed not usable.
