Curricula Vitae / Résumés ⇒ Inputting Danish letters

Hi, that is an awesome looking CV. I need to input danish letters such as æ,ø,å which I can usually do with \usepackage[utf8]{inputenc} or \usepackage[applemac]{inputenc}, but it doesn’t seem to work, do you have an idea as to how I can implement this?

I use a mac and texmaker if that helps.

I had the same problem. The order of commands is important. This worked for me:
