Theses, Books, Title pages ⇒ Using \input in the book format

Instead of writing the entire book in a single file, I decided to break it up into multiple files.
However at each input command I get the following error:

! LaTeX Error: File `' not found.

If I overwrite the file, I get a perfect output.
Can you suggest what is going wrong?

Hey,

I just tried doing this and it worked fine. I cut/pasted the contents of the CHAPTER 2 block into chapter2.tex in the same directory as main.tex. I then put \input{chapter2} where the Chapter 2 content used to be and the book compiled as usual.

Solved the problem. I was making a mistake when removing the TOC in each chapter.
