Hello everybody
I must tell you I just migrated from PC to MAC in April 2008 therefore I'm a novice in Mac...and I know nothing of Latex!
I'd like to use Computer Modern fonts on my Mac (NeoOffice especially). I know they exist in TrueType format (http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/font...e1/bakoma/ttf/) but those aren't accented (I'm French!).
What should I do? Is there any other way to have them with accents?
I'd like to give a professionnal, academic look to my Master's thesis but I won't have the time to get used to Latex before I must render it...
Once again, sorry for my naiveté !
Thanks a lot,
Jeoffrey

Re: Accented Computer Modern fonts in TrueType format
There is an OTF version of Computer Modern Roman font, made by Polish TeX user group (I believe so). You can find the fonts here:
http://www.gust.org.pl/projects/e-found ... n/download
These fonts have eastern europe characters, so I believe that they have French characters (accents) as well. There are also some other freely available fonts on this page. Just "click" a bit
However, from what I know NeoOffice is based on OpenOffice.org, and it is known that OOo has problems with some OTF fonts (I think those that use postscript for glyphs or something like that). I use these fonts with OOo 2.4.1 on Win32 XP, and they work ok, except that they can't be exported to PDF (some other font is used instead).
Furthermore, there is one more "package" with Unicode version of OTF Computer Modern fonts, and you can get them here:
http://canopus.iacp.dvo.ru/~panov/cm-unicode/
I hope this helps.
