Handwriting Recognition
I would like to know if there were any handwriting recognition capabilities for formulae. Can anyone help me?
Best regards.

For single characters you just can't remember the name of, there is Detexify, which is a very useful tool. If you want to have whole formulas recognized, have a look at the math input panel provided by Windows 7. The LaTeX-IDE Inlage can convert it further to LaTeX (YoutubeLink)
Samsung Smartthings (YoutubeLink) and Apple Smartthing (thanks Tohecz) can also convert handwritten formulas to computerized formulae.
A (non-freeware) software called MyScript Stylus is available for the standard operating systems (YoutubeLink).
If there is any tool to convert a scanned formula to any computerized form, i really don't know. Either way, you have to check them.
One additional thing you should check out What is the status of generating LaTeX from handwriting (i.e., OCR)?.
