How to label/cross reference gnumeric external table

Post by thewallj »

Hi All,

I wonder if someone can help me with a problem - I'd like to label and be able to cross reference an external gnumeric spreadsheet document I've added to my LyX document. But I can't see any way to do this. Adding a label next to the gnumeric sheet simply references the chapter/section its in.

Any suggestions are most appreciated.

I believe you need to put it in a table (insert > float > table)

Hi Scott,

Thanks, but unfortunately it is a long table that spans several pages and therefore can't be put into a float.

Makes sense. I wish I had other ideas but I don't. Hopefully someone else will come along. Note to non-LyX users around here: Jake's probably using a LyX extension ("external material") that takes care of converting the gnumeric table to a LaTeX table.
