Blind spots in the use of FontSpec with OpenTypeFormat
I recently upgraded to TexLive 2014 and I am currently shifting to XeLaTeX.
One reason to do so has been to reap the benefits (?) of additional degrees of freedom if it comes to the titles and abstracts of my papers and reports. Namely: Using an OpenTypeFormat (*.otf) font (Adobe Futura Std Book) with the FontSpec package. So far, I managed to get my template using the font in its basic style for abstracts, but when I attempted to get small caps, the used LaTeX \scshape failed.
Now I wonder whether the issue was that I had to purchase also other font styles due to the OTF product architecture.
Next, I was wondering if this would resolve my quest for small caps at all, seen that Adobe does not sell a small caps style font of it.
Finally: Is there a work around to compensate for not having the style's *.otf ?
Thanks in advance!
