I had the same problem with blurry text coming out of lyx. It turned out that for my case the problem was not with lyx but with adobe reader. In adobe reader go to edit-> preferences -> page display. Here the resolution and the rendering can be set. Setting the rendering option to smooth the text on and uping the resolution did the trick for me.
