Do Caption independently in different environment, plz help!

Post by thanhnguyen »

Hi,

In Lyx, I use book class for a document. I would like to do caption the figures and equations in Example environment differently than in main body text.

For example, in a chapter, I can do caption like:
for a figure --> Figure 1.1: Blah blah blah
or for an equation --> (1.2)

In this chapter, there are some examples. And in each example, I would like to caption like:
for a figure inside an example --> Figure E1.1: Blah blah blah
or for an equation inside an example --> (E1.2)

Please teach me how can I do it in Lyx. Or else how can I do it with Latex command.

Thank you in advance!

Thanh Nguyen
