FONT Problem: NIMBUS instead of TIME ROMAN. Please help!

Post by MARINA »

Hello, guys,

I need typeset articles now for scientific journals and I have the problem with the fonts: Nimbus instead of Time Roman. May be has someone such kind of problem and can help me?

I found some solutions, but the didn't help me. Now I even don't know what to do :(
Please help me!

There is a one found solution that didn't work:

1. Map pscyr.map shoulad be added at the end of the file of MikTeX 2.7/miktex/config/updmap.cfg

2. Add the line p +pscyr.map in the end of the file MikTeX 2.7/divps/config/config.ps

3. Add the line map +pscyr.map in the end of the file MikTeX 2.7/pdftex/config/pdftex.cfg

4. Add the line Map pscyr.map in the end of the file MikTeX 2.7/miktex/config/updmap.cfg

5. Do the comand updmap

6. Add the line f pscyr2.map in the end of the file MikTeX 2.7/dvipdfm/config/config

7. Do the comand initexmf -u.

8. And MikTeX 2.7 -> Settings -> Refresh FNDB.
9. Do the comand mkfntmap

I see that it is for MikTex 2.7, I have now 2.9. May be it is the reason why it doesn't work((

I have operation system Windows XP and Windows 7.

Thanks in advance!!!

I am not very sure if you want to have Times New Roman or Nimbus.

I think the easiest solution would be to uuse XeLaTeX or LuaLaTeX and fontspec.
The smart way: Calm down and take a deep breath, read posts and provided links attentively, try to understand and ask if necessary.
