Chapter Numbering

Post by dystopia333 »

Hello everyone

I am new to both LaTex and this forum but I'm hoping I could get some well needed advise. I am currently writing my MSc dissertation and have downloaded a template from http://www.latextemplates.com/template/ ... ral-thesis. The template is great and fairly easy to comprehend but I have recently encountered an issue. My chapter titles/headings are defined as

\chapter{Introduction}

\label{Chapter1}

\lhead{Chapter 1. \emph{Introduction}}

It all worked fine for my first 5 chapters but all of a sudden my last chapter only shows the chapter title but won't display the chapter number. I find it odd since I have used the same commands for every chapter. Perhaps anyone had a similar issue before and knows a solution.

Any help would be appreciated.

Please, please, please don't use this. This is like crafting a car with a hand axe.

Read some introductory material like LaTeX for complete novices and do everything properly. See the time spent on reading as an investment to save you trouble in the future (you encountered trouble in the beginning, but there will be more).
