Hello. I'm using TeXnic center with pdflatex and acrobat reader. I'm typing my PhD and I have a problem. Every time I generate the pdf output, acrobat reader opens it by the first page. That's quite bothersome, because I have then to navigate through the document. I have been tinkering with the "forward search" box in the configuration window, but with no success. Could anybody help me?
Thanks in advance
Esteve

open the pdf output in the right page
Hi Esteve,
welcome to the board!
You could try the Sumatra PDF Viewer, this free open-source viewer provides forward and inverse search and automatic reloading of changed PDFs, have a look at this topic: Sumatra PDF now with forward and inverse search support.

Re: open the pdf output in the right page
Thanks a lot for the quick answer! I will give it my best try, although, frankly, at a first glance it seems to me quite involved (I'm quite new to LateX).
Best regards
Esteve
