yes i did save it to .tex!
always shows up Log File not found.
im sure those paths must be set wrong, maybe cause im using mactex instead of texlive i guess, and so paths are differently

I am sorry, i don't have a mac, so i can't tell anything. The information you are giving us is just not enough. It's like calling a mechanic to fix a car by phone.
