welcome to the forum!
Sure, it is possible. If there's no elementary way, I would use a small piece of TikZ or PSTricks code, for drawing arcs above and below those expressions.
Perhaps post the code of your formula. I gladly help with problems, I just don't often do repeatedly typing work.
