Scrolling Lag
I needed to restart my MacBook Air this afternoon (OSX 10.9) and when I loaded up LyX (2.0.6) it has started lagging when I scroll. I found this thread on another board about this issue. Has anybody experienced this and/or found a solution? A bit frustrating!

Re: Scrolling Lag
Hi Jacob
Should be fixed in LyX 2.1beta2.
You can download it here:

Re: Scrolling Lag
Would that over right any packages I've added to my current version?

Re: Scrolling Lag
Good question. I know on Ubuntu from the PPA definitely not. But I don't know about Mac OS. Send an email to lyx-users@lists.lyx.org with your question.
Re: Scrolling Lag
I too am experiencing a large scroll lag in Lyx 1.7 on both a new iMac and an older macbook, both running 10.9. I would prefer not to write my dissertation using the beta software, so is there a solution for those of us working with the stable 1.7 release? I can only guess that not a lot of people are not experiencing this issue since, for me, the lag is making Lyx almost unusable.
Thanks,
Chris

Unless you are able to compile an untested version yourself, there's nothing you can do.
There are many people experiencing this problem. The problem is that most of our developers are on Linux so Mac-specific issues unfortunately are difficult to debug. In this case, a fix is done but it needs testing.
See the thread that Jacob linked to and see if changing \force_paint helps.
Best,
Scott
