Spell checking language

Post by hardyb »

Can any one advise me how to easily change from american English dictionary to UK English dictionary? It does not seem clear to be how to do this.

Recommended reading 2024:

LaTeXguide.org • LaTeX-Cookbook.net • TikZ.org

NEW: TikZ book now 40% off at Amazon.com for a short time.

And: Currently, Packt sells ebooks for $4.99 each if you buy 5 of their over 1000 ebooks. If you choose only a single one, $9.99. How about combining 3 LaTeX books with Python, gnuplot, mathplotlib, Matlab, ChatGPT or other AI books? Epub and PDF. Bundle (3 books, add more for higher discount): https://packt.link/MDH5p

I just downloaded Lyx to do some support, so i might be mistaken:

Tools (Werkzeuge) -> Options/Preferences (Optionen) -> language settings (Spracheinstellungen).
The smart way: Calm down and take a deep breath, read posts and provided links attentively, try to understand and ask if necessary.

I have been looking in there.

Under language the UI language and default language are both English(UK)

Under spell checker there appears to be an option add personal dictioonary but I cannot see how to just switch from english us to uk

Sorry

OK thanks for the input. Turns out I should have been doing it under document settings. Sorry don't know why I missed this in the manual.
