LyX ⇒ Problematic Version Control

Hi all together,

after some time not using LyX, I now have a problem with an existing document with version control. Maybe there was the Mavericks update in between, but I can't say that for 100% sure - but I think so.

Now when committing, I got this error message.

And when I try to retrieve the history, I got this error message.

Can you help me what went wrong here and how I can fix this?

Hi thowl,

What version of LyX are you using? There have been some changes in the source control code (e.g. now supports Git). You could trying LyX 2.1beta2 to see if it has fixed your issue:

I'm using Lyx 2.0.6, which worked fine until Mavericks update I think.

Well, I successfully installed the beta version, but the error messages stay exactly the same.
Do you have any further idea? Maybe a known error?

I don't speak German (and I'm too lazy to retype into Google Translate) and I don't use version control in LyX so I won't be much help to you. You might want to send an email to lyx-users@lists.lyx.org. Let them know that you had the error under 2.0.6 and under 2.1beta2.

Mavericks Xcode does not contain version control. You need to install the GNU RCS. See http://wiki.lyx.org/Mac/VersionControl for link and more detail.
