Figure from DVI to PDF

Post by ruitino »

Hello!
I've got a problem with conversion from DVI to PDF. Firstly I convert .DVI file to a .PS file and than PS to PDF, but in this last passage all pictures loose quality. I use the format .EPS....what's the matter??

PS: Sorry for my English

Perhaps a problem with your EPS files or their origin, respectively. You may give some information about the creation process and the way you include them in your document. If you want you can attach a sample file so we can test it ourself.

I use often images captured from pdf files and pasted to photoshop, so I can save them as EPS files. I've attached a simple file. Compiling to dvi, and then converting to ps and pdf, the quality is very low as you can see...

Photoshop is known for causing irregularities when saving files as EPS. If the nature of your pictures (i. e. diagrams or plots of datasets) allows other ways of processing or creating, you should use alternatives.
