LaTeX Used for Medical Writing/ Clinical Study Reports ?

Post by jort »

Hello! I dabbled in LaTeX years ago, and would like to use it again. Currently working for a Pharmaceutical research firm, creating statistical tables and listings for clinical trial reports. The currently accepted method is to create RTF files for each table or listing. Just wondering if anyone is familiar with what Medical Writers really want for their source files - RTF, or PDF, or ...? and whether or not LaTeX is being used in the industry vs. trying to create formatted output directly from SAS?

Thanks in advance for any advice, or direction to any good resources on this topic.
