Lyx + JabRef issue

Post by lykos »

Hi all,

I'm using Lyx 2.1.0 and JabRef in Linux.
Since I am new to all I cannot figure out how the lyxpipe works.
I ve red the webpage:
http://wiki.lyx.org/LyX/LyXServer
but I cannot fix it.
lyx doesn't create itself any .in and .out files when I enter it in "LyxServer pipe". I ve created a pipe with mkfifo lyxpipe that doesn't work either.
I ve pointed JabRef to the pipe and I get an error:
"Status: Error: verify that lyx is running and that the lyxpipe is valid."
Besides that when I click Browse I cannot see the .lyx directory since is hidden.

thanks in advance

lyx creates the both pipes itself if I enter it manually like this:

/home/nick/.lyx2.1/lyxpipe

Of course JabRef has to point to this file too.

JabRef doesn't produce any errors but in my case it doesn't work because of my teplate.
