Graphics in Empty Background

Post by robbevorsselmans »

Hi all,

I'm making a booklet for my youth movement organisation in which different texts, games and ideas will be listed. Since several people will be adding content it seems like a good idea to make a template in Latex and include lots of .tex files.
I'm making the template right now and I have a question about the design.

I do realise there's a small chance that what I'm looking for is possible, (please don't waste too many replies in telling me so) but Latex has amazed me before, so here goes :)

In order to perk up the booklet I would like to automatically add small images to the background (small photos or vector images). Since the booklet will contain lots of snippets I assume there will be quite some white space. Is it possible for Latex to detect great area's of white space and place a image in the background of this area? In the ideal case this images would be selected randomly from a folder and placed randomly with a maximum per page. Is this anywhere near possible?

Please tell me if you know something to accomplish a small aspect of everything I described above.

Thanks in advance!
