Location of the settings / config file of TeXnicCenter

Post by stefan.roettger »

Hello everybody,

after working with TeXnicCenter for a year at my office, I want to have it on my computer at home as well.

Of course I would like to use exactly the same settings (output profiles with post-processing, shortcuts, location of my personal dictionary, etc.) without having to enter them all into the options dialogue again.

I thought simply using the texniccenter.cfg (or something like this) would do, but I have no idea where to find such a configuration file.

I copied the whole texniccenter folder from my office pc to my home pc, but the texniccenter settings at home remained unaffected.

Does any one have an idea which file(s) contain(s) all the settings and where to find it?

Stefan

Additionally, you can try copying the content of the installation directory and HKCU\Software\ToolsCenter\TeXnicCenter registry key. I haven't tested it but it might work.

Cheers,
