PDF Preview opens new Window
I recently switched my primary machine from a Mac to PC, and I notice that the PDF preview command works slightly different than I am used to. On my old machine, whenever I previewed a file (Cmd+T on Mac, Ctrl+R on PC) it would update the most recent preview file, without opening a new window. However, since using LyX on my PC I have noticed that every preview opens a new window. This is not a significant problem, but it has been quite an irritation.
My guess is that it has to do with the PDF viewer I am using. On my Mac, it opened up the documents in the native preview application (preview), and on the PC I use Sumatra PDF (though I have tried Adobe Reader as well with the same "issue")
If anyone can point me towards a PDF reader that does not open new windows on every preview, or inform me of another way to circumvent this annoyance, I would be greatly appreciative.
Thank you,
-Andrew

For Sumatra PDF you should read the manual and there especially the section about command line arguments. The optionAndrew Valtak wrote:[…] My guess is that it has to do with the PDF viewer I am using.
