LaTeX to PDF: automatically close last PDF

Post by daljurerey »

Hi,

I am new in LaTex. I use Adobe Acrobat 9. When I compile a LaTeX document, I would like close the last view of the PDF document automatically.
Right now, I must do it manually, otherwise an error message appears.

Is it possible at all?

Thanks

LaTeX to PDF: automatically close last PDF

Hey there. :)
  1. Please open the mainpage in a new tab.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and click on "SEARCH".
  3. Enter "Adobe Reader Texniccenter" as the search phrase.
  4. Mark "Topic Titles only".
  5. Start the search.
  6. Click on first result. :)

I suggest to try Sumatra PDF. It works well with TeXnicCenter (TXC) and offers forward and inverse search through SyncTeX. Moreover it refreshes an opened file automatically and doesn't lock it like the Reader does. And it allows to start the Reader with the current file. For the upcoming TXC2 it will be the default viewer in case it is installed before even if the Reader is also present on the system.

Best regards and welcome to the board

Hi I would like help with the same question, although I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro and WinEdt6.0 this problem has only just started to occur (up until yesterday it used to close down the current PDF automatically). I think it might have something to do with a new version of Adobe that I started using. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers Roxy
