Writing Permissions to save Files

Post by sandervanweerdenburg »

Hi all,

I recently downloaded Texmaker, but I am having some difficulties with the program. If I want to save something, I get a pop-up that says:
Onmogelijk om het bestand op te slaan. Controleer of u schrijfrechten hebt.
Yes, that's Dutch. Roughly translated it means this.
Impossible to save the file. Check whether you have writing permissions.
Is anyone familiar with this problem? And if yes, does anyone know how to solve this? Many thanks in advance! :)

Regards, Sander

You tried to save a file without extension. Just add the .tex extension.
