MiKTeX and proTeXt ⇒ Font Installation Issue

Hello,

while trying to install a font (lf9 package) as described on this page:
http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/fonts/m ... a-schmidt/

I'm running into problems. Installation seemed to work fine: copying files, making changes to the updmap file and running initexmf. No errors were given.

Now when I try to use the package with \usepackage LaTeX gives me the error message:

Code: Select all

File `frutigernext.sty' not found.

I assume the new style file which resides in "../tex/latex/lf9" should have been picked up by MiKTeX when issuing the "Refresh FNDB" command in the setting program. How can I check if this was successful or get information about the problems encounter in this step.

PS: I'm running MiKTeX 2.9 on a Windows machine.
